Mercian Teams cater for those competing at Walk and Trot to Novice level dressage and 2’3″ to 2’9″ jumping. Arlene Mansell is the one to speak to if you think you may be interested in competing for CDRC at this level in a relaxed and fun environment. Have a look at the Mercian page for more information on this group.

Over the last few years BRC Area level team events have become more and more competitive. CDRC have qualified and competed at the National Championships in show jumping, eventing, novice and open dressage, dressage to music anCDRCd festival of the hunter (showing and XC/SJ eventer challenge) and have obtained individual national champion titles (2011 – Fe Moore and Linda Delahooke’s horse Arthur won the national title in the Eventer Challenge) and team titles (2010 – Novice dressage national team champion). CDRC have also competed in the Blenheim Eventer Challenge for riding clubs, a testing competition for the bravest of members.

From the 1st January 2012 you must present your hat for tagging, plus your BRC membership card and your horses passport and flu vaccination details to the BRC Official Steward in attendance at any Area Qualifer. Back protectors also now need to be presented to check that they conform to the relevant safety standard (purple label) for Horse Trials and Eventer Challenge.

This complies with new rules for 2012 onwards. Please ensure you have all items with you, the area stewards will not be negotiating this year and if you don’t produce these items or they don’t comply with the rules you wont be able to ride, no exceptions!
